The University soccer team will meet the Newton Upper Falls team in the first game of the Spring season at Newton Upper Falls this afternoon. For two weeks the men have been practising regularly and have made encouraging progress, although hindered by the muddy condition of the field. Special stress has been laid on teaching the men how to kick and pass, and a few scrimmages have been held during the past week.

The first of the championship games for the University team will be played with Cornell at Cambridge on April 2. Coach Burgess and Captain Francke are working to get the players in the best possible shape by that time.

The University's line-up for today's game is as follows: r.o.f., P. H. Smart '14; r.i.f., J. C. Jennings '15; c.f., J. H. Baker '15; l.i.f., G. M. Carnochan '14; l.o.f., O. G. Ricketson '16 or T. Dean '16; r.h.b., F. C. Grant '14; c.h.b., H. G. Francke '14, (captain); l.h.b., D. F. Fenn '15, or D. Moffat '16; r.f.b., T. J. Hudner '15, or R. T. P. Storer '14; l.f.b., J. M. Kingman '15; g., B.
