TO DEBATE ON MONROE DOCTRINE

1917 Team Will Meet Brookline in Trophy Room at 8 o'clock.

The Freshman debating team will have its first test of the year in the contest with Brookline High School in the Trophy Room of the Union tonight at 8 o'clock. The meeting will be held primarily for the members of the Freshman Debating Society, which is unusually large and florishing this year.

The 1917 team will take the affirmative side of the question: "Resolved, that the Monroe Doctrine should be abolished." W. I. Tibbetts, L. Opdycke, and A. G. Aldis will speak in the order mentioned for the Freshmen. The Brookline team will speak in the order named, Julian H. Reinherz '14, Zichtor A. Kramer '14, and A. Ogden Porter '16, the rebuttal being given by Kramer.

Triangular Trials Postponed.

The trials for the Freshman debating team for the triangular debate with Yale and Princeton have been postponed until next Monday when they will be held in Harvard 6 at 7.15 o'clock.
