"Modern Operatic and Programmistic Tendencies" will be the subject of Professor W. R. Spalding's lecture at the Lowell Institute, this evening at 8 o'clock. This lecture will be the last of the series on "The Evolution of the Art of Music." It will be repeated at the Lowell Institute tomorrow afternoon at 4.30 o'clock.

Mr. Virgil O. Strickler, a member of the board of lectureship of the Christian Science Church, will deliver a lecture on "Christian Science" in Emerson D this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The lecture will be open only to members of the University.
