The University track team secured nine places in the N. E. A. A. A. U. In door Championships held last night in the Mechanics Building. The surprise of the evening came when W. Willcox, Jr., '17, won the 440-yard dash in 55 seconds, with E. P. Stone '15, and A Biddle '16 second and third respectively. In the 600-yard run, which J. Greene B. A. A., won in 1 minute and 20 seconds, A. J. deGozzaldi '14 secured second place through a beautiful spurt at the finish. E. A. Teschner '17, won the 200-yard run by about twenty yards, in 35 2-5 seconds, and then went out and secured third place in the senior 40-yard dash, which was won by F. P. O'Hara, M. I. T., in 5 seconds flat. R. T. P. Storer '14, was third in the shot-put, and R. W. Stanley '17, third in the junior 40-yard dash. The other two places secured by Harvard men were in the 40-yard hurdles, which W. H. Meanix uC., won in the very fast time of 5 seconds, and in the one mile run, in which F. H. Blackman '14, obtained second after a well run race.
The most exciting race of the evening was the two-mile run, in which O. F. Hedlund, B. A. A. finally managed to gain one lap on all the runners, winning in 9 minutes and 34 seconds, with Weeks of the Irish American second and Cook of M. I. T. third.

Senior 40-yard dash--F. P. O'Hara, B. A. A., in 5 seconds; Junior 40-yard dash--H. D. Jamieson, (unattached), in 5 seconds; 40-yard hurdles--W. H. Meanix, B. A. A., in 5 seconds; 300-yard run--E. A. Teschner '17, in 35 2-5 seconds; 440-yard run--W. Willcox, Jr., '17, in 55 seconds; 600-yard run--J. Greene, B. A. A., in 1 minute and 20 2-5 seconds; one mile run--E. H. Bosworth, Brown, in 4 minutes and 38 3-5 seconds; two-mile run--O. F. Hedlund, B. A. A., in 9 minutes and 34 seconds; shot-put -- J. P. Lawlor, I. A. A. A., distance 45 feet, 7 inches; running high jump--H. Barwise, B. A. A., height, 5 feet, 11 3-4 inches; standing high jump--C. W. Reynolds, Boys' Club, height, 4 feet, 9 inches; 3 jumps--C. W. Reynolds, Boys' Club, distance, 32 feet 7 1-4 inches.
