New York, February 27, 1914. -- The Harvard fencing team was defeated by Columbia this evening at the Columbia Gymnasium by the score of 7 to 2. J. A. Aylen '15 and R. von Nardroff '15 won one bout each, while S. F. Damon '14 (captain) lost three. The Columbia team was made up of Clough, Pitt and Moquin. Columbia won the Intercollegiate championship last year, and their team this season is very strong. The next scheduled meet of the University team is the preliminary meet of New England Colleges at the Boston Harvard Club on March 28.
