This evening at 8 o'clock the first of a series of eight Lowell Institute lectures on "The Evolution of the Art of Music" will be given by Professor Walter R. Spalding '87, of the Music Department. "Music Among Primitive Races" is the subject of tonight's lecture. The other lectures of the course will follow on successive Tuesdays and Fridays.
