The University fencing team will meet Yale in the Hemenway Gymnasium at 8 o'clock. About twenty-five men came out for fencing early in October and have been practising steadily. The team is the same as last year, consisting of S. F. Damon '14 (captain), J. A. Aylen '15, R. von Nardroff '15, and T. J. Putnam '15. These men defeated Yale last year in the intercollegiates, where the Harvard team reached the final round.
Although the University team lost to Annapolis 6 to 3, it has defeated Pennsylvania 7 to 2. The men have been practising under Coach Leslabay and should make a good showing against Yale today, Bowdoin on February 20, and Columbia on February 27 in New York.
O. D. MacLaughlin and B. H. Smith of the B. A. A. will judge the contest, which will be held in the fencing room on the second floor. Admission is free and ladies are welcome.
