The competition for chairman of the sub-committees will end on Friday. The standing of the six most promising candidates and the amount collected by each is as follows: O. Ames, $73.75; W. Richardson, $53; A. A. Cameron, $50.50; C. Higginson. $47; J. H. Spitz, $43; R. D. Hunneman, $39.
