Smith defeated Gore 2 to 1 in the first game of the Freshman interdormitory association football series played yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field. Smith was the more aggressive during the first half of the game, both her goals coming in this period, Kellett securing one and Kelliher the other. In the second half, however, the Gore team rallied, preventing Smith from scoring again, and themselves securing one tally on an excellent shot by Captain Cooke.

The next game, between Gore and Standish, will be played on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock.
