A full force of laborers has been working for some time on the Widener. Library, and substantial progress has been made. The top story is now almost completed. The rooms are plastered and painted and the wood-work in them is finished. In the main entry hall the marble columns are in place, as is much of the marble work on the walls. The plaster ceilings of the main reading room and the card-catalogue room are also nearing completion, while the installation of the imported wood-work in the room which will hold the Widener collection will begin shortly.
