At thiis time a comparison of the Christmas recesses of some of the larger eastern colleges may be of interest. The University has the shortest vacation, 12 days this year, while Yale and Dartmouth the longest, 18 days. The complete figures follow:
Harvard.--Wednesday, December 23 to Saturday, January 2.
Brown.--Wednesday, December 23 to Monday, Jaunary 4.
Pennsylvania.--Wednesday, December 23 to Monday, January 4.
Columbia.--Monday, December 21 to Saturday, January 2.
Willams.--Wednesday, December 23 to Wedndsday, January 6.
Cornell.--Tuesday, December 22, to Tuesday, January 5.
Princeton.--Wednesday, Decomber 23 to Tnursday, January 7.
Dartmouth.--Friday, December 18 to Tuesday, January 5.
Yale.--Friday, December 18 to Tuesday, January 5.
