The first of the series of meetings to be held under the direction of the International Polity Federation will take place in Emerson D this evening at 8 o'clock. Mr. William English Walling L. '98, will speak on "The European War and Socialism" under the auspices of the Socialist Club.
Mr. Walling is one of the foremost of original socialistic thinkers in the country. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Intercollegiate Socialist Society and his publications, notably "The Larger Aspects of Socialism" and "Progressivism and After", have attracted wide attention both in this country and abroad. Mr. Walling will be remembered for his lecture here last year.
The lecture this evening will be open to the University. The International Polity Club will hold an open meeting in Stoughton 15 after the lecture, for the purpose of discussing steps toward future peace.
