PRINTING OFFICE UNDER REPAIR

Plant of University Press Will be Enlarged and Improved.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The printing plant of the Harvard University Press in the basement of University Hall is undergoing alterations which will be completed by about January 1. The fact that the building is now heated from the plant of the Boston Elevated has enabled the Press to remove from their old place between the two halves of the printing offices the boilers of the old heating system. The space thus left open is being floored over, and several new auxiliary machines will be installed. The chief advantage of the added room, however, will be that it will allow the division of the plant into three parts, one for book printing, one for examination paper printing, and one for job work. The Press has been inconvenienced in the past in having to carry on all this work in one plant.
