The Massachusetts Institute of Technology formally opened its new experimental labratory for the study of flying machines on Wednesday. Lieutenant J. C. Hunsaker is directing the courses and has charge of the apparatus.

This is a notable step in furthering the study and knowledge of aeronautics in this country and should have important results. The government has signified its approval of the plan and the Aero Club of America has sent its congratulations to Technology.
