Dr. Richard Pearson Strong of the Department of Tropical Medicine in the Medical School has been appointed director of the laboratories of the hospitals and of the research work of the United Fruit Company. The significance of the appointment lies in the wish of the company to cooperate with the Medical School in its investigation of tropical deseases.
