Single Field-Goal Gives Sophomores Victory Over Juniors.

The Sophomore football team nosed out a 3 to 0 victory over the Junior eleven yesterday afternoon in a fierce and evenly contested game. The Sophomore quarterback, standing on the 25-yard line, kicked over a pretty field-goal in the third period for the only score Twice the 1916 team tried field-goals, but both attempts failed.

Jacobs, the Sophomore quarterback was easily the star of the game, managing the team well, and doing excellent work in open field running and forward passing. Amory played well for the Juniors. The members of the Sophomore team, by winning the class championship, will be awarded their class numerals in the class colors, orange and black.
