Professor M. B. Hammond, of Ohio State University, will give a series of three lectures next week, under the auspices of the Department of Economics, on "The Regulation of Wages in Australia, especially by Wages Boards." Some attention will also be given to the working of the system of compulsory arbitration in Australia and New Zealand. Professor Hammond recently spent a year in Australia making an extended study of the history and working of the Australian labor laws.
The three lectures will be given in Harvard 6 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday of next week at 10 o'clock. Although the lectures are being given in connection with Professor Ripley's course on Labor Problems, arrangements will be made for admitting the public.
