One of the principal aims of the newly re-organized Cercle Francais was to establish relations between the Cercle and the large French societies of Boston. This object has been achieved since the Cercle is assured, through the kindness of Mr. William Rotch '65, president of the French Alliance of Boston, the privilege of hearing several of the prominent French speakers who have been invited to address the meetings of the Alliance, men who frequently come from a great distance in order to fulfill their engagements. Similarly Mr. Camille Thurwanger, president of the Salon Francaise de Boston, has very generously offered the hospitality of his society to the president and ten members of the Cercle for each meeting. Accordingly, every third week the Cercle will notify its members, through the CRIMSON, of this opportunity, and the first tten men to avail themselves of this privilege will secure the tickets. Professor Henri Lichtenberger, exchange professor from the Sorbonne, will be the guest of honor at the first of these meetings to be held Saturday afternoon at the Copley-Plaza at 3 o'clock. He will speak on "Ernest Renan et la pensee contemporaine." The lecture will be followed by a talk on "Rousard: Chanson et Sonnet," by Miss Madeleine 'Doby, of Wellesley College.
