London has invented a name for men of peculiarly detached type of mind who can continue their own business regardless of the war conditions which exist in England today. They are called "Tommy Browns.' The "Daily Mirror" explains the term. The original "Tommy Brown" was Sir Thomas Brown, who at the time of the English civil war took absolutely no notice of the conflict and continued his studies as though no war were in progress.
