Coach Sexton of the baseball squad has organized the candidates into a nine called the Rovers for purposes of fall practice games. This week the Rovers will play three games with nearby teams. The first will be today with the Riverside Athletic Club of Cambridge, at Soldiers Field at 3 o'clock. The second, also at Soldiers Field, will be with the Calumet Club of Stoneham on Friday. The third game will be played Saturday with the Marlboro Baseball Club, at Marlboro.
The Rovers have already played and won two games; over the Beverly Progressives and the other over the Cambridge Stars. About fifteen more games will be played before the close of fall practice. The team is improving constantly, and the fall games will be valuable experience for the candidates for the University team next spring.
