LIGHT WORK-OUT FOR ELEVEN

EFFECT OF SATURDAY'S HARD GAME FELT.--SEVERAL MEN EXCUSED.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

As is usually the case on Mondays after a hard game, blackboard talks and the discussion of tactics took up the major portion of the afternoon at Soldiers Field. Several of the regulars were not out in football clothes, among them Mahan, Rollins and Hardwick. The remainder of the squad was put through signal practice and a careful drill in one or two new formations. The game with Springfield was gone over in detail, especial attention being paid to defensive tactics for the open game which Michigan will undoubtedly present in even more dangerous form.

With the appearance of R. B. Wigglesworth '12 on the field the quarterbacks will henceforth be receiving more individual attention which, especially in the case of some of the second and third string men, has been much needed.

The Varsity line-up for yesterday's signal practice was as follows: Coolidge, l.e.; R. C. Curtis, l.t.; Cowen, l.g.; Soucy, c.; Pennock, r.g.; Trumbull, r.t.; Weatherhead, r.e.; Logan, q.b.; McKinlock, l.h.b.; Bradlee, r.h.b.; Brickley, f.b.

Team B.--Greene l.e.; Sweetser, l.t.; Underwood, l.g.; Atkinson, c.; Conway, r.g.; Withington, r.t.; J. Morgan, r.e.; Watson, Willcox, q.b.; King, l.h.b.; Harris, r.h.b., Whitney, f.b.
