The initial activity of social service work will take place tomorrow evening, when a meeting for all those interested will be held in Phillips Brooks House at 8 o'clock. The purpose of the meeting is to show what results can be obtained in the work and of what benefit are the efforts of the workers. Several prominent men in service among Boston's poor and foreign-born element will point out opportunities and needs in that field; and other work, such as boys clubs, and entertainment for settlement houses, will be described by students.

The chief speakers will be Professor Richard Cabot, of the Medical School, R. W. Kelso, of the Massachusetts State Board of Charities, S. P. Pennock '15, R. H. Kettell '14, L. A. Morgan '17, and W. B. Pirnie '15.
