The fall baseball season thus far this year has been very successful. The University Rovers have played 13 games with outside teams, of which they have won eight, lost four, and tied one. The value of the season, however, cannot be measured by the results as shown by the scores; as a means of bringing out material, developing men, and giving the coach a chance to size up the players, the practice this fall has been invaluable. All candidates for the University team who were not excused on account of participation in other sports have reported daily. The Freshman squad is also out, and is very well supplied with material, although many promising Freshmen are kept away by football. Next week will conclude the fall practice.
The games played thus far have resulted as follows:
Rovers, 6; Beverly Progressives, 4.
Rovers, 8; Cambridge Stars, 3.
