Since its organization last May, the committee on appointments of the Harvard Club of New York City has been instrumental in getting positions for 63 Harvard men. The committee was established primarily in the interests of the members of the Harvard Club of New York City, but it has not helped these men alone. Applications have been received from undergraduates and graduates of the University as far west as Colorado and as far south as Tennessee. Out of 75 applications, positions were secured for 63. Of these 63 positions 31 were permanent and 32 were temporary. The approximate earnings per annum for permanent positions was $29,640 and for temporary positions $3,878, a total of $33,518.
