SECOND TEAM TAKES CLOSE GAME

The University second football team won from Saint Anslem's College at Manchester, N. H., on Saturday by the score of 6 to 0. The game was a very exciting one throughout, the light Saint Anslem's eleven playing a fast open game which kept the heavier second team constantly on the jump. The only score was made in the first period when Townsend broke through the line and blocked a punt which was recovered by Coffin on the 20-yard line. After several unsuccessful attempts to gain through the line, Doherty succeeded in scoring on an end run. Woodruff, Guimaraes and Doherty showed consistently good playing for the seconds.
