The Roxbury Latin School football team gave the elevens of Standish and Gore Halls a fast practice game yesterday afternoon, defeating them by the score 14 to 13. Standish began the game with a rush and succeeded in getting two touchdowns in the first quarter. In the second quarter, however, they were completely demoralized and allowed the preparatory school men to play the game as they pleased. There was a little improvement in the third period, but Roxbury still had the best of the contest. In the last quarter Gore replaced the Standish eleven, and against its strong line Roxbury could make but little headway. No scoring was done on either side during this period. In all probability there will be several more like yesterday's game for the dormitory elevens.
The Smith squad also had signal drill and practice in handling punts yesterday. The second game in the interdormitory series, between Smith and Gore Halls, will be played today at 3 o'clock.
