The University has come to the aid of the war sufferers in Europe in a very substantial manner. President Lowell has cabled to Lady Osler, of England, who is now acting as hostess of the refugee professors that were driven from the University of Louvain at the time of the sacking of the city by the Germans, saying that the University will offer a lectureship to one of these professors at the beginning of the second half-year.
