SOPHOMORE DEBATERS IN UNION

First Meeting of 1917 Society, Which Has Successful Record

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Debating Society of 1917 will hold its first meeting of the year in the Trophy Room of the Union this evening at 8 o'clock. The society had a very successful season last winter, and the debating committee felt that it would be well to make it a permanent organization. This will have the great advantage of providing much better material for class and University debating teams.

The meeting tonight will be addressed by Judge A. P. Stone '93, A. G. Paine '17, and P. L. Sayre '16. All Sophomores who are at all interested in debating are urged to attend. This is the first time in over ten years that such a plan has been proposed, and prospects for success are bright if the society is well supported by the class.
