The resignation of Walter Camp, the Well-known football authority, as treasurer of the Yale Financial Union has been announced. His career marked an era in the history of Yale athletics. More than anyone else he has been responsible for their present sound financial standing. Twenty-two years ago he founded the Financial Union which has raised the Yale Athletic Association from a debt to a surplus of more than $125,000. Under Mr. Camp's management Yale athletics have expanded in every direction.
As chairman of the intercollegiate football committee, Mr. Camp has moulded the game extensively, suggesting many changes in the rules, which have revolutionized the game extensively. Mr. Camp has consented to remain as football member on the athletic committee at Yale, representing the alumni.
