TIME TRIALS IN CROSS-COUNTRY

Runners Prepare for Three Dual Matches Scheduled This Fall.

The University cross-country team is practicing daily in preparation for the coming dual matches with Cornell, Yale, and the I. C. A. A. A. A. Time trials were held last week over the new Belmont course. Captain H. G. MacLure '15 and R. S. Cook '17 finishing first and second respectively. Training table started yesterday morning for the University squad. It is imperative that more Freshmen report at once for practice. This is the first opportunity that 1918 men have to win their numerals, yet at present there is a dearth of material. The schedules for the University and Freshman teams are as follows:

University.--October 31, Cornell, at Ithaca; November 7, Yale, at Cambridge; November 21, I. C. A. A. A. A., at New Haven.

Freshman.--October 30, Providence Tech., at Cambridge; November 7, Yale at Cambridge.
