YESTERDAY'S HOCKEY PRACTICE

Team A and Team B Played Close Practice Game.--Former Won by 1 to 0.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The feature of the hockey practice yesterday afternoon was a fast 20-minute scrimmage between Team A and Team B, which was won by the former by the score of 1 to 0. The play of the teams was very even and the game closely contested as the score indicates. The forwards showed great improvement in passing and team-play but the good work of both defences kept the score down. Doty and Cunningham, the second-string defence, were tried out in the forward line and did fairly well considering their unfamiliarity with their new positions. Smart scored the only goal of the contest in the first few minutes of play when he banged the puck into the not after it had bounded off Washburn's guards following a long shot by Hopkins.

The line-ups: TEAM A.  TEAM B. S. P. Clark, l.w.  r.w., Devereux Hopkins, l.c.  r.c., Morgan, Saltonstall Phillips, r.c.  l.c., Doty, Wanamaker Smart, r.w.  l.w., Cunningham, Curtis Claflin, c.p.  c.p., C. S. Clark, Doty Willetts, p.  p., McKinlock, C. S. Clark Carnochan, g.  g., Washburn
