The University hockey team showed marked improvement in its practice yesterday over its previous form. This was due for the most part to the return of Captain Willetts and Claflin, the first string defence. Team A and Team, B scrimmaged for about half an hour, the former winning by the score of 3 to 2. This was due largely to the good work of Washburn at goal, who stopped many hard drives from the second team forwards. The forwards worked well together passing and shooting accurately, but the good work of both defences kept the score down. Smart was the highest individual scorer with two goals to his credit, while Hopkins, Morgan, and Devereux tallied one each.
