COMMITTEE OF ONE HUNDRED.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Another step toward the welcoming of Freshmen will be taken when the committee of one hundred meets in Phillips Brooks House his evening. As we understand its duties, they will be to recommend the Brooks House Information Bureau, to urge all Freshmen to attend the first class gathering in the fall, the Brooks House Reception, and to extend an informal welcome, supplementary to that of the Reception and the Senior advisers. So long as these ideals are maintained and the committee refrains from any attempt to do more than extend such a welcome, its work will be of inestimable value. We are sure that it will avoid bewildering the unacclimated Freshman with a surfeit of advice on what to and what not to "go out for".
