ANNUAL CONSOLATION MEET
CREDITABLE PERFORMANCES YESTERDAY IN TRACK AND FIELD EVENTS.
The annual consolation track games were held yesterday afternoon, and while on the whole, the records were mediocre, there were some promising performances. In the sprints, the best event was the 100-yard dash which J. L. Foley '15 captured in 10 1-5 seconds.
The two-mile run was the best of the track events. C. Southworth '15, an inexperienced runner won handily in 10 minutes, 19 1-5 seconds. In the field, the best performances were in the high jump which E. B. Danforth '15 won with a leap of 5 ft., 7 1-2 in., and in the shotput which R. T. P. Storer '14 won with a put of 40 feet.

Mile run--Won by J. C. Merriam '16, second, W. C. Boyden '16, third, F. C. Carleton '16.
Two-mile run--Won by C. Southworth '15; second, N. Norton '13; third, G. Whitehead '15. Time, 10 minutes, 19 1-5 seconds.
220-yard low hurdles.--Won by W. M. Mansfield '15; second, W. T. Wright '15; third, M. P. Robinson '15. Time, 27 1-5 seconds.
120-yard high hurdles.--Won by M. P. Robinson '15; second, W. M. Wright '16. Time, 16 3-5 seconds.
Field Events.
High jump--Won by E. B. Danforth '15; second, F. H. Mahn '15; third, tie between H. M. Wright '15 and A. D. Chandler '14. Height, 5 feet, 7 1-2 inches.
Broad jump--Won by H. W. D. Rudd '15; second, W. L. Allen '14; third, J. S. King '13. Distance, 20 feet, 7 1-2 inches.
Hammer-throw--Won by H. S. Sturgis '15; second H. D. Burch '14; third, E. R. Roberts '15. Distance, 22 feet, 9 inches.
