The Sophomore crew won the interclass race in the Basin yesterday afternoon, defeating the Juniors by about one half a length and the Seniors by about six lengths. The race ended at Gloucester street, the 1 1-4 mile mark, partly because of the rough water lower in the Basin, and partly because the Yale class crews rowed that distance day before yesterday. The leading crews rowed about 32 strokes a minute, and alternated in the lead.
The Sophomore crew will row against the Yale 1915 crew in the Basin next Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
The orders were:
Sophomores: stroke, W. C. Paine; 7, E. R. Wilkinson; 6, M. Weston; 5, E. Reynolds, Jr.; 4, L. Osborne; 3, F. S. Bacon; 2, V. J. Grace; bow, Captain T. W. Storrow; cox., H. Gallaher.
Juniors: stroke, E. D. Curtis; 7, R. D. Walker; 6, Captain J. S. Morgan; 5, G. E. Hubbard; 4, H. R. Amory; 3, R. Searle; 2, G. Harrower; bow, G. T. Winslow; cox., A. Hay.
Seniors: stroke, A. B. Day; 7, D. C. Parmenter; 6, Captain G. C. Cutler, Jr.; 5, E. H. Locke; 4, G. McE. Graham; 3, F. J. Leirseur; 2, W. R. Taggart; bow, J. H. Schafer; cox., A. B. Merrick.
