CAPTURED HONORS IN 23RD INTERSCHOLASTIC TOURNAMENT.--FINALS TODAY.

Exeter won the twenty-third annual Harvard interscholastic tennis tournament on Jarvis Field Saturday, by winning 15 of the individual matches. The finals of the tournament will be played on Jarvis Field this afternoon between Herd of Exeter, and Caner of St. Mark's.

Thiry-five players, representing six different schools, participated in the tournament. The scores of the schools in the team championship were as follows: Exeter, 15; St. Mark's, 7; Lowell, 4; Rogers, 3; Newton High, 3; Country Day School, 0. The bad weather conditions handicapped the contestants, but the play was nevertheless fast.

Preliminary round.--Gibb (Exeter) defeated Poor (Newton) 6-1, 6-1; Coit, (Exeter) defeated Hobson (Lowell) 6-3, 6-0; Parker (Lowell) defeated C. L. Sherman (Rongers) 6-3, 11-9.

First round.--L. G. Seeligson (Exeter) defeated D. L. Richardson. Third round.--Herd defeated L. G. Seeligson, 6-4, 6-2; Rand defeated Gibb, 6-0, 6-4; Hochmeyer defeated Coit, 6-1, 6-4; Caner defeated Brown, 6-4, 6-0.

Semi-finals.--Herd defeated Rand, 6-2, 6-2; Caner defeated Hochmeyer, 6-3, 6-2.

Class Matches Today.

The winners of the upper class tennis tournaments will play the leading men on the university team for the class championships this week as follows: Jarvis Field today at 3 o'clock--N. E. Paine, Jr., '13. vs. A. j. Lowrey '13, J. J. Armstrong '14 vs. E. h. Whitney '14, Wednesday at 3 o'clock--W. m. Washburn '15 vs. D. Kimball '15. The final Freshman match between j. Woolredge '16 and C. C. Felton '16, postponed from Friday, will be played at Jarvis Field this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Each player has won two sets in the postponed match.
