SIXTY DELEGATES MEET HERE

About sixty delegates, representing almost thirty institutions, are attending the Eastern Conference of Presidents of Christian Associations, new being held in Brooks House. Through the courtesy of the members of the University, accommodations have been extended to all. The management of the Union has also offered the privilege of the house until tomorrow evening.

The general subject at the three sessions today will be "Service." At the first meeting at 9.30 o'clock this morning C. D. Hurrey, of New York, C. D. Connell, of New York, and A. G. Cushman, of Bates, will take up the various aspects of the work of the Christian Association among the students themselves. The 2 o'clock meeting will be devoted to a consideration of the work in the community. Addresses will be made by R. H. Edwards, of New York, D. Gates, of Boston, H. H. King, of Boston, S. D. Weld 1M., and Arthur Howe, of New York.

Preceeding the regular discussion for the evening session, at 7.30 o'clock, there will be a special consideration of "Recent Developments in Student Work," including "Alumni Work," by Dr. M. T. Exner, of New York, Oliver Cutts '03, of New York, and C. D. Hurrey, of New York. The rest of the evening will be devoted to a final discussion of the services which is open to the college man.

Program for Tomorrow.

Bishop P. M. Rhinelander '91, of Pennsylvania, will address the conference at a special service at 9.30 tomorrow morning. As a final illustration of the actual working of the Association, there will be a "model Cabinet meeting" at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. F. M. Harris, of New York, will act as president; W. M. Danner, Jr., '13, as finance chairman; E. A. Newell, of Brown, as education chairman; A. G. Cushman, of Bates, as college service chairman; H. H. King, of Boston, as community service chairman; and W. B. Smith, of New York, as recruiting chairman. The closing address will be given by J. L. Murray, of New York, on "The Relation of the Leaders to the Spread of Christianity in Student Life."

The meetings will all be open to any members of the University who care to attend.
