More Men Needed for Soccer

By E. L. Barron .

A discouragingly small number of men reported yesterday for the first practice of the University association football team after the spring recess. As there is barely one week in which to get into shape for the game with the strong Pennsylvania eleven, and as the forward line has been considerably weakened by the loss of several players through injuries, it is very important to have a strong second team down on the field every day regularly, to enable Coach Burgess to develop new substitute men. It is hoped that all undergraduates who are at all interested in the success of the team, and who have ever played soccer before, will report for practice today at 3.30 o'clock.
