NEARLY READY FOR CEMENT

Work on Stadium Bridge Progressing Very Rapidly.

Rapid progress is being made in the work on the new Stadium bridge. The piles are all driven for the two centre supports, and the sheathing of boards is nearly in place, ready to receive the cement. Some delay has been caused in driving the piles for the end supports, on account of the necessity of sheathing the banks of the river to prevent them from caving in. The work of cementing on the two centre supports, however, will probably begin a week from Monday.
