In his annual report of the Harvard Library, the Director, Professor Archibald C. Coolidge, points out the progress of one of its most notable years. He says, among other things, that there has never been greater activity in the various branches, and that the accessions have never been so numerous and valuable. He also mentions the Library's debt to Mrs. George D. Widener Memorial is far the largest in its history.

Librarian William C. Lane in his fifteenth report gives statistics of the University Library. It now contains 1,664,900 volumes and pamphlets, of which 60,656 volumes have been added this year.
