Play in the novice chess tournament has reached the final round. The six leaders in the tournament will now compete for the novice championship. Those who qualified for the final round are: D. M. Beers '15, S. K. Belvarkar 1G., A. A. Berle, Jr., '13, D. E. Brand '14, R. P. Corse 1G., and C. H. Fabens '13.

In the final matches between the teams representing the Harvard Club of New York and the Yale Club, the Harvard Club won by 9 1-2, to 1 1-2. This gives Harvard the first leg of the new interclub chess trophy.
