Garden in Place of Old House

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Announcement has just been made that the site of the President's old house will soon be levelled off and converted into a garden. Work on the demolition of the building is practically finished, and the ground will be turned over to the landscape gardeners for planting later this spring.

Nothing remains of the President's former residence except the foundations and the basement walls. The contractors pulled down the outer walls last week, and will have the ground cleared within a few days.
