The plans for the new electrical laboratory, which will be built between the Jefferson Physical Laboratory and Pierce Hall are nearing completion, and work on the building will begin sometime this spring. The building will cost between fifty and sixty thousand dollars and is a gift to the University, but the donor does not wish his name made public as yet.

The building will be equipped with all the latest high tension and high frequency electrical apparatus, including two 500,000 volt transformers. These are of the largest type of transformers made. There will also be a 60,000 volt storage battery.
