ADDRESS BY MAJOR HIGGINSON

WILL SPEAK INFORMALLY IN UNION TONIGHT ABOUT PERSONAL EXPERIENCES.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Major Henry Lee Higginson '55 will speak informally about some of his personal recollections and reminiscences, in the Living Room of the Union this evening at 8 o'clock.

Major Higginson said that he expected to tell of how he had lived and what he had done, as well as of why he had done it. He said that he felt strongly the need of young men, and especially Harvard students, doing something for their fellow-beings, something to make the country better and stronger, and so he thought that he might also add a few words on that subject.

There is no one more capable of inspiring in Harvard men a desire for doing something for their fellow-beings and making the country better and stronger than Major Higginson. His splendid example of philanthropy is indicated not only by unusual gifts but also by the achievement of high moral purposes and by patriotic service.

The address will be open only to members of the Union.
