SECOND NOBLE LECTURE AT 8

BISHOP BOYD-CARPENTER WILL CONTINUE SERIES ON DANTE THIS EVENING.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Bishop William Boyd-Carpenter, Canon of Westminster, will deliver the second William Belden Noble Lecture in the New Lecture Hall, this evening at 8 o'clock. The general subject of the Noble Lectures this year is "Dante's Verdict on Life: its Significance and Value." The special subject of tonight's lecture is "The Influences in His Life."

Bishop Boyd-Carpenter is eminently qualified to speak on the subject of Dante, having devoted many years of his life to a study of the great Florentine whose influence has so impressed the later history of mankind.

In 1904, the popularity of Bishop Boyd-Carpenter's lectures under the Noble foundation was such that after the first lecture, Sanders Theatre was reserved for the course in order to accommodate the crowd. This year, at the first lecture on Monday evening practically every seat in the New Lecture Hall was taken.
