PREPARING FOR YALE GAME

Hockey Team Won Scrimmage, 3 to 2, on Shortened Rink Yesterday.

The University hockey team held practice in the Arena yesterday afternoon, preliminary to the second Yale game which will be played at New Haven tomorrow. The length of the rink was shortened by boards in order to accustom the players to the small ice area on which the game will be played. After drilling the forwards in passing, the first team lined up against the substitutes and defeated them, 3 to 2, in a fast and stubborn scrimmage of 20 minutes' duration. The defensive work on both sides was good, and especially the goaltending, for during the greater part of the scrimmage shots were constantly being aimed at the cages by both teams.
