As a result of the preliminary trials for the University debating team held last evening, twenty men have been retained. The second trials will be held in New Lecture Hall tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock. Each man will speak 10 minutes on either side of the question, "Resolved that the present attitude of the United States Government in Desiring to Exempt our Coastwise Trade from Panama Canal Tolls is Justifiable." The men who have been retained will speak at these trials in the following order: A. A. Berle 1G., A. T. McKean u.c.L., I. Levin '14, B. H. Knollenberg 1G., E. R. Adams '14, C. W. Beall 1G., F. Stern 2L., l. Witkin '14, L. C. Henin '15, F. Greenman '14, M. C. Lightner 3L., R. West '14, F. U. Coppleman u.c.L., R. B. Fizzell 3L., J. Lorenz '14, C. W. Chanaworth 2G., II. C. Placo '14, R. J. Watson '14.
