Trials for the University debating team which will meet Yale and Princeton in the annual triangular debate will be held in Harvard 5 this evening at 7 o'clock. The question to be discussed is "Resolved, that the present attitude of the United States in desiring to exempt our coastwise trade from Panama Canal tolls is justifiable." The speeches will be 5 minutes in length, and all members of the University are eligible to compete for the team.
The issue concerning the Panama Canal will also be under discussion in the triangular debate, which will take place on March 14. The question was chosen because of its pertinence and importance to the American people today.
