CREW PRACTICE YESTERDAY

Regular Indoor Work Commenced.--Capt. Abeles Outlined Plans.

A large number of candidates for the University crew reported at the Newell boathouse yesterday afternoon for the first regular practice. After a short talk by Captain Abeles, in which he outlined the season's work, six crews were worked out for a few minutes on the machines.

The material for an excellent crew is available, there being some good men from last year's University squad and Freshman crews who will fit into the places left vacant. Coaches Brown, and Stevenson are assisting Coach Wray in the coaching.
