TALBOTT MADE YALE CAPTAIN

Brilliant Left Tackle Selected at Meeting Yesterday to Lead Next Year's Football Eleven.

New Haven, Conn., December 2, 1913.--Nelson Strobridge Talbott '14S., of Dayton, Ohio, was elected captain of the Yale football team at a meeting held this evening. Talbott played at left tackle during the season and distinguished himself by his exceptionally hard rushing and tackling. He prepared at Hotchkiss which was also the school of the present year's captain. He is 21 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs 189 pounds.

The consensus of the opinions of those experts who have recently been picking all-American football teams shows very little dispute over giving a place on these elevens to Talbott. He is undoubtedly one of the best linemen in the East.
